The Open Situation Room Exchange site is a product of the PeaceTech Lab, and is intended to redefine violence prevention work through the use of predictive analytics, social media listening tools, news reports, human sentiment, and network analysis.
PeaceTech Lab is an independent non-profit organization created by the United States Institute of Peace to leverage the potential of technology, media and data for conflict management and peacebuilding.
The Lab brings together engineers, technologists, and data scientists from industry and academia, along with experts in peacebuilding from USIP, other government agencies, NGOs and the conflict zones. These experts collaborate to design, develop, and deploy new and existing technology tools for conflict management and peacebuilding. You can learn more at the PeaceTech Lab website.
